FIRM HISTORY

The Newton based firm of Grossman & Associates, Ltd. is a successor to Grossman & Grossman, a Boston firm founded in 1989 during New England’s difficult economic times. Despite the economy, the Firm flourished because its attorneys personally served their clients with responsive, innovative and thorough legal services. Over time the Firm attracted regional banks, national corporations and international businesses as clients. As enthusiastic clients referred their friends and family, the reputation of the Firm spread enabling the Firm to open a suburban office in Needham, then grow into larger offices in Newton, where accessibility and parking are key attractions.

KEY PLAYERS

Hindell Straus Grossman is the Firm’s owner and manager. Admitted to all courts in Massachusetts, she has litigation experience in state and federal courts. Several of her successes have been published in Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly and she has been featured in the Needham Tab, Boston Business Journal and the Boston Globe. Hindell has been a licensed attorney in Massachusetts since 1985. She started her legal career with a Boston firm and quickly honed her business, marketing and legal skills. She started her own firm just four years later.

Hindell has been active in both the business and Jewish communities. She participated in the first international collaboration between the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Montreal Board of Trade. She has been a regular speaker for the Canadian Consulate to Canadian business owners interested in doing business in Massachusetts; a lecturer for National Business Institute, Inc.; a panelist for the Small Business Administration; a speaker on business banking for banks; and a panelist for the Boston Bar Association.

Clients are calmed by her attentive warmth.

The Firm uses an assortment of other talented individuals to fulfill its objectives. It calls upon seasoned law clerks, part-time attorneys, financial analysts and accountants when needed.

INNOVATIVE, RESPONSIVE, THOROUGH

When you retain a law firm you expect legal competency, but you also expect the intangibles. You want to connect with your attorney. You want her to return your calls, keep you posted, follow through, and achieve good results. As a consumer of legal services you are entitled to these courtesies and Grossman & Associates strives to provide them.

IRON FIST, VELVET GLOVE

We are creative deal makers, not deal breakers. However, every step of a negotiation must be calculated. Opposing moves should be anticipated and motives on both sides understood. Unless litigation affords a strategic advantage, conciliation and strategic pressure are likely to produce faster and more economical results. On behalf of our clients we take strong positions and use the subtleties of the negotiation to persistently sell that position. Let us be your iron fist in the velvet glove.

SECOND OPINIONS

Second opinions allow you to maximize your options by seeking supplemental advice without having to abandon the ongoing relationship with your current attorney. Grossman & Associates, Ltd. formally launched the Second Opinion program in 1998 with press releases and articles in the Boston Business Journal and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The Firm adopted the second opinion concept from the medical field after recognizing the doubt that consumers feel about the legal advice they receive or their disappointment in the lack of attention to their case. These scenarios are common with clients whose legal matters become more complex over time. Enhance your options. Let us provide you with a second opinion.

According to a commercial landlord, “It is very important to obtain objective legal advice when making critical business decisions. Fresh insights gained through Grossman & Associates’ program helped me net an additional $100,000 on the recent renewal of my commercial real estate lease.”

A partner of a major Cambridge CPA firm said: “Business clients often express uncertainty about which legal path to take. These are the clients who would benefit from a second opinion to validate their business decisions and to give them new perspectives on complex legal issues.”

Divorcing clients also benefit from second opinions. Each divorce client needs an attorney who represents their particular interest and personality. If the fit isn’t right, a painful process can become more difficult. Consequently, divorcing clients seem to change attorneys more than any other client.

Legal decisions have huge consequences. Get the best advice you can get.

ESTABLISHED, BUT NOT ESTABLISHMENT

Grossman & Associates, Ltd. strives to distinguish itself by educating its clients. We treat our clients individually and tailor our services to their needs. Each client’s situation is different and does not fit into a cookie cutter solution.

In representing our clients, we analyze their individual situation with them, present the options, alternatives and solutions, and allow our clients to make informed decisions based on their special circumstances. We involve you in the process instead of ignoring your phone calls.
